Whatever Happens, I Hope There’s Choreography
Spend your holiday weekend with the Healings FAQ archive
Hello friends, it’s a holiday weekend and the time of year when we all mourn the conclusion of summer, although not me so much because it feels like every day in August was above 90 degrees here in East LA, and me and my poor sun-scorched vegetable garden are ready to move on. Anyhoo, I’ve got family in town, and maybe you do, too, and/or you’re pool- or oceanside, or grilling (I’m grilling), or doing whatever it is you do that’s not checking email. But for anyone who does read this and is looking for their weekly dose of death-and-god-related wisdom, check it out…
I recently put together a handy archive of each installment of the Healings FAQ. I gotta say, it’s pretty cool looking back on all these. It represents a mix of old friends, former colleagues, and total strangers—some people I know very well, and others I just reached out to with my fingers crossed, and who were generous enough to do some pretty serious soul-searching, and share the results in a public forum with other strangers. In lieu of a new post today, I’d encourage you to pick one you might have missed and dive in—I promise there’s wisdom pouring out of each and every entry. And we’ll be back with a new post next week as we inch our way toward our twentieth FAQ. Guy Fieri still has yet to get back to me with his answers, but I feel like it’s only a matter of time.
In case you’re wondering, the title of this post is a quote from Brock Keeling’s recent FAQ, which was rad. All of these are rad. You’re rad. Thank you for being rad.
